Sarah and David

Sarah and David initially planned to get married earlier in the year in Edinburgh.  I’d really wanted to capture their day so it was a shame to realise that if I took it on, I would not have made it back for another wedding the following morning in Northamptonshire.  I can’t say I wasn’t a tiny bit gutted but as fate would have it, Sarah and David ended up changing the location for their special day and it all fell beautifully into my diary 😉

Sarah made quite an entrance when she arrived in an immaculate navy blue Subaru which tied in perfectly with their colour scheme of navy blue, baby blue, dusty pink and white.

David & Sarah had a lovely service and I could see from the amount of tissues being passed around that this wedding meant a great deal to the friends and family who attended.  For some of the younger guests, this was their first experience of a wedding and I was touched to see that they too, were moved by the service.

Newport Pagnell was the location for David and Sarah’s wedding reception.  The couple had decorated the room and put on a huge display of food.  Sarah had made the most amazing 4 tier cake with each layer a different colour AND flavour.  I got to try a piece (for research purposes of course!) and can say it was delicious.  I wasn’t the only one who ended up trying more than one of the flavours.

The evening got lively as Sarah swapped her heels and wedding dress for some funky white flats and a classic little white dress.  The kids certainly gave the adults a good run for their money on the dance floor.  For some so young, I can’t believe how well behaved the children were all day and late into the evening.  A real credit to Sarah, David and their family.

Thanks for having me xx
